I wanted to tell you about a really special workshop taking place at the Avalon Faery Fayre this March, it’s a WENDY FROUD MASTERCLASS!
Conceptual designer and sculptor, Wendy Froud has made her name creating characters like the Gelflings, (The Dark Crystal). This intimate demonstration will show how Wendy interprets sketches and then sculpts, paints and finishes puppets ( in this case, armatured figures – not hand puppets!). Wendy will talk about each stage of this process in this special master class.
The workshop takes place on Saturday 10th March 2012 from 2.30 until 4.30 and the fee is £20 per person. Places are limited so advance booking is essential. Call 01736 330201 or visit to book online here
Brian and Wendy Froud will also be attending the Avalon Faery Fayre on 10th and 11th March, and will be signing your books and prints etc. They will also be special guests at the Avalon Faery Ball on Saturday 10th March.
