With all the adults getting excited for the Avalon Faery Ball, we felt it was only fair to create a mini event especially for the children to celebrate Halloween.
Children’s Halloween Faery, Pixie & Mermaid Party in Avalon
An afternoon of Halloween fun! With Felicity Fairy, Jay Tree Pyksy, Primrose the Pegasus Pony, and Melody Mermaid! Fairy craft activities. Mermaid School, Sea ‘tails’ + more! To be held in the upstairs function room at the George and Pilgrim on Glastonbury High Street, just around the corner from the Faery Fayre. Our hosts are qualified to work with children and will keep them entertained for one and a half hours. Children may dress-up if they wish.

FAERIE BOOT INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP with LINDA RAVENSCROFT: Cost £18 – TIME: 11am – 12.30
So many people admire the beautiful boots of Linda Ravenscroft, and now lovely Linda is showing us how to customise our own faerie boots in this special workshop!Linda will show you how to paint and customise your own faerie boots. She will supply, paints, glitter, embellishments, brushes, pens, glue, paper plates and water containers, kitchen roll – etc. This workshop is limited to a maximum of 20 participants. The cost is £18.
Participants MUST bring: –
Old shoes or boots in any colour, made from nubuck, suede type fabrics, suede leather, these work best, but we can also use non shiny leather/fake leather type – make sure that they are clean. Please be aware that we will be using acrylic paint and glue so bring an apron or wear clothes you don’t mind getting damaged (just in case)
WING WORKSHOP with TWINKLE LITTLESTAR: Cost Between £10 to £50 (depending on style of wings) TIME: 1 – 2pm
Make your very own pair of wire & fabric, or shiny – faery or Dragon wings with Twinkle Littlestar In this unique workshop for adults or children. Everything will be provided, and Twinkle will guide you through the process of each stage of creation, so you end up with the perfect pair of custom wings.
*Twinkle will show you how to make the wings
*Pre-made safe frames will be provided for each participant
*Curls and flybacks are provided
*Fabrics in many colours
*Special waterproof glitter paint and frosting paints
*Beads and sparkly bits
*Silk flowers in many colours, shapes and sizes
*Glues and tools are available to use, so you don’t need to bring anything. Unless you wish to add something special to your wing design.
FAERY CRAFT INTERACTIVE TALK with EMILY CARDING: Cost FREE – Time: 2.15 – 3.15
In this hour-long interactive talk, Emily Carding will discuss some key aspects of her long-anticipated new book, Faery Craft and teach some simple yet effective magical techniques from its pages.
Faery Craft uses the sacred Seven Directions as its structure, equating them with seven qualities needed to live a Faery lifestyle. Together we will explore these seven directions and qualities, along with techniques that can help to enhance our awareness of them within our lives and strengthen our connection with the Faery realm.”
